Government Medical College Baramulla Successfully Conducts First Educational Tour for Pre-Final MBBS Students to Ladakh

Government Medical College Baramulla recently completed its first-ever educational tour for pre-final MBBS students to the enchanting landscapes of Ladakh. Spanning 07 days, the tour provided a unique opportunity for the students to explore educational, medical, cultural, and tourist sites, enriching their knowledge and experiences beyond the classroom. Under the guidance of Principal Dr (prof) Ruby Reshi and the college administration, a group of pre-final MBBS students embarked on a journey of discovery and learning through Ladakh's breathtaking region. The tour aimed to expose students not only to the region's beauty but also to broaden their horizons on medical practices and cultural diversity. During the tour, the students visited various significant locations, including the Kargil War Memorial, Nunkun Glacier, Suru River, Leh Market, Hemis Gompa, Nubra Valley, Shanti Stupa, and District Hospitals in Leh and Kargil. The college administration ensured the accommodation and travel arrangements, prioritizing the students' safety. The educational tour offered students a refreshing break from their academic routines and allowed them to witness the medical challenges faced by remote regions like Ladakh. It fostered empathy and a commitment to serving diverse communities.
